Early Intervention

The long-term benefits of Early Intervention are well established. Early intervention is essential in achieving best outcomes. There is a wide range of evidence and research which illustrates the benefits of early detection and early intervention for infants and young children (0-6 years old) who may be ‘at risk’ of or experience delays in their development. The earlier difficulties and needs are identified and addressed in a child, the greater chance the child has of reaching their full potential.

At Thrive OT, we recognise that a child’s early years are critical. We work within the principals of ‘early support’ offering assessment of children with actual or potential developmental difficulties to determine the nature and extent of a child’s problems.

Depending on the findings of the assessment, Thrive OT can offer treatment and management or we can make a referral to the appropriate professionals e.g. Speech & Language Therapists, Physiotherapists in response to your child’s needs.
